OUTPATIENT DETOX
We offer inpatient and outpatient detoxification services at the Drug Detox Center. Detoxification is an important first step in recovery from drug or alcohol addiction. However, it is only the beginning. After the detoxification process is complete, our clients will participate in one of our treatment programs to find and heal the root of the addiction problem.
There are many drugs which require medical cleansing from the body before treatment can begin.
These drugs include:
- Cocaine
- Methadone
- Prescription medications
- OxyContin
- Hydrocodone
- Xanax
- Opiates (heroin, morphine, codeine)
- Alcohol
Our outpatient detox program is designed to help those who are struggling with drugs or alcohol and cannot enter an inpatient facility. However, we STRONGLY recommend our inpatient program for people who are addicted to the drugs listed above. Quitting these drugs without medical supervision can send the body into shock and can cause death. If you are unsure whether you or someone you love needs inpatient or outpatient detox treatment, please call us now.
Benefits of Outpatient Detox
There are many benefits of outpatient detox. As an outpatient client, you are still free to live your life as you choose. However, this can prove to be too much of a temptation for some people and they may relapse. If a relapse happens, we recommend our inpatient program.
Outpatient detox is more convenient because the client doesn’t need to take time off from work or family to attend the program. We insist our outpatient detox clients check in with our staff at least once a day. They will also be frequently screened for recent drug or alcohol use. All clients will attend AA or NA meetings and we strongly support clients who choose to attend other recovery-based group meetings. The client will meet with an addiction counselor prior to the outpatient detox program. Both the counselor and the client will decide on a contract to hold the client accountable for his or her actions. Our treatments are all individualized because we want to offer our patients the best treatment options we have available.
During outpatient detox, doctors at our center will be able to prescribe small amounts of non-addictive medication to help ease withdrawal symptoms. We understand the symptoms of withdrawal are not pleasant and we will do everything possible to make the process easy and painless. Outpatient detox treatment is only available to those who are suffering minor to moderate withdrawal symptoms. If you are suffering from severe withdrawal symptoms or have abused prescription drugs and are chemically dependent, then you will need inpatient treatment.
Family therapy is another important aspect of recovery for both the addict and his/her family. We believe the entire family may need some form of treatment to be able to fully support the addict on his or her road to recovery. We offer family therapy to open the lines of communication and to teach the family functional ways to be supportive. We also work to heal the entire family unit from the destruction and chaos caused by the drug addict’s behavior.
If you or someone you care about is suffering from the pain of drug or alcohol addiction, please don’t hesitate to call us. Our trained call center staff is waiting to answer your questions – for free! Call today to get help.
